In 1925, during Tech’s first semester of registration, the College of Engineering had 313 students enrolled in its two-member faculty department. Three additional professors were quickly added to meet the needs of the enrollees, and in 1927 the faculty ranks numbered ten. By the 1954-1955 academic year there were thirty-nine faculty members.
